About me

An avid reader of history. I grew up in Bangladesh (a rigid postcolonial society!). After high school, I got admitted in a leading public university, Jahangirnagar University, Department of Anthropology. I’m currently a graduate student in Istanbul, Turkey.

The learning of Anthropology has been an hugely influential force in my life. Especially in perceiving the massive crisis in our contemporary political systems that have been enmeshed by nationalism, the nation state and religious powers.

I always ventured into the adventures of traveling and reading. I’m a big fan of Pablo Neruda, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and of course Arundhati Roy! It is difficult to escape the thrill of political fiction, and the captivating clutches of the big screens of cinematography.

Journalism is not my passion, but writing is 🙂
